There Is So Much More!

Philippians 3:12-16 (Message)

ĎIím not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, donít get me wrong; by no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but Iíve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward Ė to Jesus. Iím off and running, and Iím not turning back. So letís keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision Ė youíll see it yet! Now that weíre on the right track, letís stay on it.í

In this scripture, Paul knows there is more to come. He knows he hasnít attained perfection but he is still striving for it.

There is a little song that says; ĎHeís still working on me, to make me what I ought to be. It took Him just a week to make the moon and stars, the Sun and the Earth and Jupiter and Mars. How loving and patient He must be, cause Heís still working on me.í

All the things youíve done in your past, good or bad, donít keep looking back on those things, keep striving, pushing, pressing on to reach the prize, the goal. I know there are times you just donít feel like it, enough already, but it will be so worth it in the end. There will be times when you fall, there will be times when you just canít see God working or maybe not even feel God, but you keep pressing on.

There will be times when you disappoint God but keep pressing on, donít quit as tempting as that may be. There will be times when you are soaring high over the mountain tops and you feel you have finally made it, donít stop, keep pressing on, there is so much more to come. When you feel you are in the deepest valley, remember how you felt on the mountain top and keep pressing on.

There is so much more to God than we can imagine. He wants to do a new thing in us but we have to keep pressing on. We need to stir up that desire to want the more to come, the fullness of God.

So when you feel youíve disappointed God or your going through a storm or in the deepest valley, keep pressing on. When you feel jubilant, having a mountaintop high, soaring above the clouds and all is well, donít stop, keep pressing on.

God has so much more to bless you with if you chase after Him and give Him your whole heart, mind, body and soul. You wonít believe the more of God and all He has in store for you!
