Donít Worry Ė Peace, In All Things
"Don't worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what your needs are and thank Him for all He has done. In doing this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Is your life filled with worry and nervousness? Always thinking that trouble is just around the corner? Do you let little things get to you? Do you ever let yourself relax or is your mind always thinking about what might happen next? Do you know someone who is always nervous and full of worry? I don't know about you, but when I get around people like that, I sometimes end up frazzled. We can either trust God and live in peace or we can take things into our own hands and be filled with worry and fear.
Do you always have to be doing something? I know people like that, I think we all do. Fidgeters, that what I call them. If something is out of place it has to be exactly just so immediately. Some people feel if there are things to do, sitting in an easy chair for a little bit is wrong and couldn't relax if their life depended on it. God never intended for us to be anxious about life. He invites us to come to Him and rest in His strength. To stop, be still, and chill out with Him. Does that mean we become lazy and slothful? No, we put our priorities in order. Does your child need a little hugging? Does your spouse need some love and attention? Do you need a bit of "me" time? How long has it been since you were quiet and talked to your heavenly Father? I don't mean just said the table blessing or your nightly prayers, I mean sat down and was real before God? Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 Trying to take everything into our own hands is too much for us to handle. We cannot have everything under control all the time, we need God's strength and guidance. We can continue to worry and try to get things done in our own strength, but it will only burn us out and leave us stressed. "Give all you worries and cares to God, for He cares about what happens to you 1 Peter 5:7 Whenever you start to worry or fear, give it to Jesus.
Faith comes from the Word and it grows through prayer. Whenever you begin to worry or you sense that life is overwhelming, stand on His Word and give Him your burdens in prayer. He will pour out His love upon you in abundance and will carry you through. He has already taken all our sins and burdens to the cross with Him, to not use this privilege would grieve His heart.
So my friends.................Don't Worry, Be Happy!!!! Now!!!!
