Dear Northwest Family: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
2008 has quickly passed by, but not without souls being saved, and people being blessed and physically fed! Listed below is an update of our ministry activities:
ü At least 1046 personal visits by the local church
ü 53 people came to know the Lord at NW, and many more were impacted indirectly
ü 23 were restored to faith
ü 23 new members joined the NW church body
ü Mission trips went out to Canada, China, Costa Rica, Kenya, and Ukraine, as well as several states in the U.S.
ü Ministry was conducted not only here at the church, but also through our many outreach programs: Potters Prison Ministries; Jail Ministries; Youth Outreach; Nursing Home Ministry; Meals of Compassion; NW Food Pantry; Thought Ministry; Reach and Teach Spanish Ministry; Surrendering the Secret Ministry; and our newest Ministry, “Family Care Ministry.”
This year we have been asked by our Presiding International Bishop, Raymond Culpepper, to make 2009 a year of prayer—starting with special prayer emphasis on January 4th. We will be having special prayer in the Sunday PM service with emphasis on lost souls, and for the Church in general. While in prayer this year please keep in mind our New Family Care Ministry. As a church family we always are in a state of change, ever progressing and pressing forward to see the Kingdom of God expanded.
With each passing day, from all accounts, we see the end times are upon us. Jesus’ return is at hand. Let’s bind together and pray for a united front to fight daily spiritual battles and see that our friends and family are all in the fold ready for His return.
